THE THANKSGIVING MARKET: MORE THAN THE FOOD

When you think of Thanksgiving, what are some of the things that immediately come to mind? Maybe turkey or pumpkin pie or stuffing? Do any of the other things that are not food immediately come to mind?

While Thanksgiving only lasts for a single day, the products it influences stretch far beyond the Food Category. It also influences things like clothing, television shows, movies, dinnerware, keychains, cards, and even jewelry. Pictured below are some examples.

It’s less likely that these are the things that popped into your Thanksgiving thoughts when I first asked you what the holiday brings to mind. Unless you stop and think about it, it is often hard to realize just how big the Thanksgiving market is and how many different parts of the market it reaches. Hopefully this post has helped you so see this, and maybe next time you may even think about all these different things.

A significant amount of money and advertising is put into this market of products. It surrounds us more and more as the Thanksgiving day draws nearer. See if you can consciously think about it this year, and start to notice these products around you.
