Brand’s Need To Know Their Image.
As we have discussed numerous times in class brands have an image and with that image comes perceived customer value and the placement of that brand among other brands selling similar products. I read an article on AdWeek that explains that brands need to know their purpose and what they aspire to be in the future.
Today brands need to change their message in order to continue to appeal to modern consumers. They need to stop trying to convince the consumer that they are friends. Brands need to understand that internal motivation is what drives the consumer and they need to mirror that with their advertisements.
They need to stop trying to be our friends and support us in a way that we need it. Their products should focus on making life easier, not accompanying us while we go through it.
